Policy

Terms & Conditions

These terms govern use of www.safetytactical.co.za and any sale by Safety & Tactical. By browsing, enquiring, or paying, you accept them. South African law applies, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

Safety & Tactical supplies safety equipment and tactical gear. Contact: sales@safetytactical.co.za. We do not publish a telephone number. These policies are written for this shop; have your own lawyer review them before you rely on them as a final legal position.

Listed prices are in South African rand and exclude delivery unless the product page says otherwise. Stock, sizes, and “on request” items are confirmed by email before we commit. We may refuse or cancel an order if stock is gone, a licence is missing, or PayFast does not clear payment.

Firearms, FRT, and other controlled goods are sold only to buyers who hold the required South African competency and licence (or who buy through a licensed dealer). You must send proof when we ask. We will not complete a controlled sale without it.

Payment is taken by PayFast (card, Instant EFT, SnapScan). We do not store card numbers. Title in goods stays with us until PayFast confirms payment. Risk passes when you (or your nominated receiver) take delivery or collect.

Website copy, photos, and logos belong to Safety & Tactical or our suppliers. Do not copy the catalogue for your own shop without written leave. We are a reseller: manufacturer names remain those owners’ marks.

We are not liable for loss of profit, downtime, or indirect loss. For defective goods our liability is limited to repair, replacement, or a refund as set out in the refund policy and the Consumer Protection Act. Nothing here takes away rights you cannot waive under South African law.

Policy

Privacy Policy

We process personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Safety & Tactical is the responsible party for information you send through this site.

We collect the name, email, message, delivery details, and order lines you give us, plus technical data the browser needs to keep a basket (for example local storage). We use this to answer enquiries, fulfil orders, meet tax and firearms-control records, and run PayFast checkout.

We do not sell your details. We do not use tracking pixels or marketing trackers on email. PayFast processes card payments on its own systems; we receive payment status, not full card numbers. Hosting and email providers may see information as needed to deliver the service.

We keep order and enquiry records for as long as tax, firearms, and dispute rules require, then delete or de-identify them. You may ask us to confirm what we hold, correct it, or delete it where the law allows. Write to sales@safetytactical.co.za.

Cookies and local storage on this site are for the basket, product-page edits on this device, and basic function. We do not run advertising profiles.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa). We will still try to resolve the matter with you first.

Policy

Refund Policy

Refunds follow the Consumer Protection Act. If goods are defective, not as described, or not fit for the ordinary purpose we sold them for, we will repair, replace, or refund as the Act requires.

Tell us in writing at sales@safetytactical.co.za within a reasonable time of delivery or collection. Keep the goods unused where you can, with original packaging, invoices, and accessories. We may inspect before we agree a remedy.

Change-of-mind returns are not automatic. Unopened, unused stock in saleable condition may be considered within 7 days of delivery if you pay return freight and restocking where fair. Sale, custom, cut-to-size, and “on request” build items are not returnable unless they are defective.

Licensed firearms, FRT, and other controlled goods are not refundable once paperwork or transfer has started, except where the Act requires a remedy for a defect we cannot fix. Opened medical, hygiene, or PPE items that cannot be resold safely are not returnable except for a defect.

Approved refunds go back on the same PayFast method where possible. Bank and PayFast timelines apply. Delivery charges are refunded only if we were at fault.

Policy

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel an order by email before we dispatch or book collection, as long as the goods are not already in a custom build, cut, or licensed transfer.

If you cancel in time, we refund amounts already paid, less any non-recoverable third-party charges. If PayFast shows “payment cancelled”, nothing was taken and your basket is still yours to try again.

Electronic transactions may carry a cooling-off right under section 44 of the ECT Act (seven days from receiving the goods). That right does not apply to goods made to your specification, sealed goods you have opened, goods that cannot be returned for health or safety reasons, or the other exceptions in the Act. Licensed firearms and started transfers fall outside ordinary cooling-off.

We may cancel if payment fails, stock cannot be sourced on the quoted terms, export or licence conditions block the sale, or we reasonably suspect fraud. We will email you and refund any amount we still hold.

After dispatch, a cancellation is treated as a return under the refund policy. You are responsible for the goods until they are back with us in the condition we require.

Policy

Shipping / Delivery Policy

This policy applies where we supply physical products. Digital downloads are not part of this catalogue. Delivery is quoted for the address and the goods — kit aircraft, vehicles, and helicopters are never ordinary parcel freight.

We deliver in the Republic of South Africa. Neighbouring-country and export shipments are quoted case by case and may need permits. Lead times on product pages are estimates. Kits, vehicles, and factory-order aircraft follow the supplier’s build slot, not overnight courier.

Standard clothing, medical, optics, and equipment can go by courier once payment clears and stock is picked. You must give a physical address that can take the parcel. We are not responsible for a wrong address you supplied. Inspect the parcel on arrival and note damage with the driver before you sign.

Firearms and controlled parts are not posted in the ordinary way. Collection from us, or transfer through a licensed dealer you nominate, is the default. We will not hand over controlled goods without the paperwork the Firearms Control Act requires.

Risk of loss or damage passes on delivery to you or your receiver, or on collection. If a courier loses a non-controlled parcel in transit we will claim with the carrier and replace or refund once that claim is settled. Delays from weather, strikes, or supplier holds are outside our control; we will still keep you informed by email.

Delivery charges are shown or quoted before you pay. Remote, oversized, or freight-only items (vehicles, aircraft, helicopters, engines) are collect or dedicated transport at your cost unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Paying or placing an order means you have read these policies. Contact us before you pay if the goods are licensed, oversized, or made to order.
